LA PALMA, Orange County — October 25, 2026. Business owners and families in La Palma can find two useful resources on the city’s official website: no-fee consultations for businesses considering changes or expansion and the Winter 2026–27 issue of the La Palma Mosaic newsletter and recreation guide.

Free early-stage consultation for local businesses

La Palma’s Economic Development page describes its “Jump Start” program, a no-fee pre-development consultation service intended to help businesses plan an expansion or relocation. The city also offers no-charge zoning verification letters. These services can help a business assess land-use requirements before investing in a site or preparing a more formal application. A free consultation is not a guarantee that a business license or development proposal will be approved.

Where to find current rules and permits

The city’s Planning Division lists resources involving conditional use permits, signs, temporary activities, business remodeling and land-use review, and directs applicants to the city’s online planning process. Businesses should confirm requirements with the relevant municipal department and, where appropriate, the Orange County Fire Authority before starting work.

Winter classes and family activities

La Palma’s Mosaic Winter 2026–27 provides the official newsletter and recreation guide. The city says it publishes the Mosaic four times a year and mails issues to households and businesses, while making digital copies available online and printed copies available at city facilities. Recreation programs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and nonresidents generally pay an additional $20 per class. Residents should confirm individual sessions, capacity and payment rules before registering.

Office hours and contacts

La Palma City Hall is listed at 7822 Walker Street with general telephone (714) 690-3300. Regular city administrative hours are Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m., with offices closed Fridays. Different service counters and recreation facilities may follow their own hours.
